Puttster Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 8, 2026
Puttster is built to be private by design. There is no Puttster account, no ads, and no third party tracking. This page explains the limited data the app works with, in plain language. It matches the privacy disclosure shown on Puttster's App Store page.
Kept on your iPhone
Your players, scores, rounds, history, and stats are stored on your device. Keeping score works fully offline and never needs a connection.
Shared only when you use community features
If you use community features, such as confirming pars at a course, adding a course, or sharing pars with other players, the following may be collected through Apple's iCloud services and linked to your identity, as disclosed on the App Store:
- Location, used to find courses near you and to place courses you add on the map
- User content, such as course information and pars you choose to share
- Identifiers, used by iCloud to sync and attribute community contributions
If you never use the community features, nothing leaves your iPhone.
Paper scorecard scanning
Scanning a paper scorecard uses text recognition that runs on your iPhone. Photos you scan are not uploaded for recognition.
What Puttster never does
- No advertising, and no ad identifiers
- No third party analytics or tracking across apps and websites
- No sale of personal data, ever
Purchases
Puttster Pro is sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; Puttster never sees your payment details.
